Winning in the game of Supernatural Experience

“Winning in the Game of Supernatural Experience”
A biblical winning formula to experience spiritual growth

How many times have things happened in our lives where we knew we needed supernatural power? What many of us do not realize is that in Christ, we have supernatural power available to us by the power of the Holy Spirit.  And those of us who “know” it, or “see it” may not really “believe” it. But most of us can think of circumstances that have unfolded in our lives as we follow Jesus that are impossible to explain. Our human ability on our own is powerless.

In John 15:5, God’s Word promises,
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

Robert Morris tells us in his book "The Blessed Life" that evidence of the Holy Spirit in your life creates days "filled with divine coincidences and heavenly meaning” (28 Morris The Blessed Life).  He also says that people who follow and sell out to God's design for their life experience joy and completeness that billionaires envy. But, when we commit to “remain” in Him as he commands in John 15, things can get very tough.

So, how do we hold on for the rewards He promises in His Word and stay focused on what He has called us to in order to experience a life rich in joy and completeness?
Four areas that have to experience transformation as we move to the next level:
1.    Physical
2.    Financial
3.    Spiritual
4.    Social/Relational

Spiritual
Memory Verse:
John 3:30 “He must become greater; I must become less.”
·      Our hidden heart aligns with our daily behaviors
·      Jesus is enough no matter what comes (More of Him, less of me)
·      We have FAITH the size of a mustard seed
·      We BELIEVE (Jesus Heals A Demon Possessed Boy) – Do you REALLY believe that God can do supernatural impossible things through you?

Physical
Memory Verse:
1 Corinthians 9:24 says, 24 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.”
·      We are positioned at His Feet in His Word
·      We exhibit self discipline
·      We guard our temples in biblical ways
·      We do not give up (It is spiritually impossible to believe the Bible is a book of Truth but yet give up praying for the greater things that His Word promises)

Financial
Memory Verse:
Matthew 6:21 “Where your treasure is, there your heart is also”
·      More money means more serving others
·      The pursuit of what God has called us to do is first, above what our paycheck or commitments mean to us
·      Our financial accounts are reflections of the level of belief we have in His Word

One of the reasons I believe there is so much emphasis on money and good stewardship in the Bible is because money and our finances have more power to negatively impact each core area of our life in a destructive way.

Acts 8:15 shows us “The overcoming Christian life is where the King has dominion”, Robert Morris in “Power For Living A Supernatural Life”
http://www.faithchannel.com/watch/ondemand/power-for-living-a-supernatural-life  – says our hearts are designed to be the dominion for Jesus. If Jesus is enough and you are sold out in pursuit of His calling on your life, then your heart is positioned to release anything that stands in the way of your spiritual growth.  The investments we are making show where our hearts are positioned.  What does your heart show has dominion? Are you hanging on to things the Lord has clearly commanded you to release?

Social/Relational
Acts 6:4 says, “And we will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”

Attention to Prayer is not optional:
If the Lord was going to grant salvation to everyone you prayed for this week, how many people would be saved according to your prayers? If the Lord was going to heal everyone that has been prayed for this week, how many people would be healed because of your prayers?

The ministry of the word is a command:
If the Lord was going to grant mercy to you based on the mercy you gave to others this week, what would that look like in your life? If the Lord was going to judge you based on the judgements you made of others this week, what does that look like? If the Lord answered your request for every person you asked to come to church this week – how many invites would you have witnessed?

It is spiritually impossible to be an overcoming supernaturally empowered Christian without sharing the word of your testimony.
Revelation 12:11
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

What He aligns in His Word as acceptable and pleasing to Him are the gateways to our hearts being satisfied and experiencing completeness of joy. The Sermon on the Mount is one of the clearest pictures of the behaviors and lifestyles that God defines as acceptable and pleasing to Him. Read His Word. Do what it says.

The Winning Formula:

1.    Attention to prayer +
2.   Ministry of the word +
3.   Belief +
4.   Self Discipline +
5.   Sharing The Word of Your Testimony =
